Gula Melaka Oat dessert (similar to Bubur Terigu)
- 5 table spoons of instant oats
- 2 teaspoons of gula melaka syrup
- 5 pieces of Goji berries (Gou Qi Zi)
- 150 ml of boiling water
- 1-2 teaspoon of fresh milk (healthy replacement to coconut juice)
1. In a small bowl, scoop 5 tablespoons of instant oat.
2. Pour boiling water into the bowl with the oats.
3. Stir thoroughly to achieve a consistent paste.
4. Add on teaspoon of gula melaka syrup and stir to derive brownish colour.
5. Place the Goji berries on top.
6. Dribble one teaspoon of gula melaka over the dessert.
7. Finish the dessert with another teaspoon of fresh milk. You may add more if you desire a more milky dessert.
You are now ready to consume your easy to make and healthy dessert. This is definitely a good substitute and alternative to bubur terigu. It makes a good breakfast too.
All it takes is 5 minutes.
