Oaty Chicken Balls
- 400g Lean chicken fillet, minced finely
- 20 tbsp Quaker Quick Cook Oatmeal
- 1 Medium onion, chopped finely
- 1 inch Piece of ginger, chopped finely
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Unsaturated cooking oil
- 2 cloves Garlic, chopped finely
- 4 Red chillies, chopped finely
- 4 tbsp Dark soy sauce
- 4 tbsp Sweet soy sauce
Garnish:
- 1 bunch Lettuce leaves, washed & drained
1. Mix minced chicken with oats, onion, ginger and salt in a bowl.
2. Mash the mixture well and divide into 36 portions. Roll each portion into a small ball.
3. Boil about 1 litre water in a large pan. Add chicken balls. Cover, and simmer for 5-6 minutes or until chicken balls are fully cooked.
4. Remove chicken balls, drain and set aside.
5. In a separate pan, stir-fry garlic and red chillies with oil. Add in cooked chicken balls and dark soy sauce. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
6. Turn off flame. Add sweet soy sauce to taste and mix well.
7. Serve hot on a bed of lettuce.
