French Toast Oatmeal
- 8 tbsp Quaker Whole Rolled Oats
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp milk
- cinnamon
- salted butter
1. Cook the rolled oats according to the instructions on the packet. Boil the water, add the oats then stir until the oats are cooked and the liquid is thick.
2. Pour the cooked oats into a small tupperware or bowl and let it cool for about an hour or so, until it has become firm. Put in the fridge if necessary.
3. When the oatmeal has become firm, use a knife to cut it up and take it out of the container. It should appear like a toast (of oatmeal).
4. In a separate bowl, mix the eggs, milk and as much cinnamon as you like until well-mixed.
5. Dip the pieces of oatmeal into the bowl and flip it. Ensure that it is well coated.
6. Heat up some butted on a pan. When it is ready, play your pieces of coated oatmeal onto the pan and let it cook until each side brown. This should not take more than 2 minutes per side.
7. When both sides of each piece of oatmeal is done, place them on a plate and eat it with butter, jams, honey/maple syrup, fruits, ice cream :)
