Teriyaki Salmon 'Porridge'
Ingredients

Oats Base:

  • 1/3 cup of Quaker quick cook oats
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dashi powder 

Toppings: 

  • 1 salmon fillet (~150g)
  • 1/3 cup of corn
  • Broccoli 
  • Teriyaki sauce
Procedure

Oats Base:

  1. Heat up the water and bring it to a boil. 

     
  2. Add the oats and dashi powder, and cook for 2 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot. (If you like your porridge to be more runny/wet, can add more water and adjust according to your preference)

     
  3. Transfer the cooked oats to a plate.

Toppings:

  1. Cook the salmon fillet, corn and broccoli. (I chose to just boil them as I wanted to keep this recipe simple. However, feel free to pan-fry them with some oil or butter!)

     
  2. Transfer them to the plate of oats.

     
  3. Drizzle as much Teriyaki sauce as you want!
