Winter Wonderland Oats Pinecone
- 150 gr Quaker Instant Oats
- 4 tbsp peanut butter
- 1.5 tbsp milk
- 5 pretzel sticks
- 300 gr Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal
- 70 gr cocoa powder
- icing sugar for dusting
- chocolate/hazelnut spread for attaching the oatmeal squares
1. In a small bowl, mix Quaker Instant Oats, peanut butter, and milk until it's all well incorporated and mouldable.
2. Grab one pretzel stick and begin to shape the oats mixture to form a cone shape. Do not worry about achieving a perfect cone shape as we will cover this with the scales made out of Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal, but ensure there's a little bit of pretzel stick left uncovered at the top so we can use it to hold and move the pinecone around.
3. Pour the Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal into a bowl of cocoa powder, shake gently to cover the surface with the cocoa powder well.
4. Hold the tip of the pretzel stick as a handle and start decorating the cone with the cereal. Dip one side of the cereal into chocolate/hazelnut spread and start attaching it around the cone. Add more cereal pieces and as you move upward.
5. Cut some of the cereal pieces into smaller triangle pieces (you can use scissor/knife to achieve this) and attach it as you move upward to the top (natural pinecone scales usually get smaller toward the end).
6. After the cone is entirely decorated with the cereal pieces, cut off the excess pretzel stick at the top, and cover with a few smaller triangle pieces of Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal.
7. Finish off by dusting the pinecone with some icing sugar and enjoy savouring this delicious treat piece by piece.
